The Ghost of Missus Past

Just Like A Woman

Her father told her story first. Her love tells it most. Her Heavenly Father, and First love tells it truest, and has the last say. She loves her earthly father, but she was never good enough in her own eyes based on what her father told her growing up. She was never good enough and could have done things differently according to her recollection of daddy. What she failed to understand was that he only wanted to be her harshest critic because he loved her enough not to settle for mediocrity. Great fathers don't want great things for their daughters, they want what's best for them. That's the best dad anyone could ever have. Unfortunately, she learned to do just that, to settle for mediocrity because she didn't see what daddy saw, she saw what her pain led her to see. Her pain led her to see that it was most fitting to settle. Settling helps find an ease in the pain, a quick remedy to the pain. Which led her to settle all her life, to avoid the pain at all costs, to settle for allowing the ghost of her past to haunt her.

If she's not good enough for daddy, perhaps she can find a father figure that will make her forget she's not good enough by having him tell her that nothing outside of him (the father figure) is good enough? He's smart enough to temporarily tickle her ears, so he has to be the smartest man she knows. How will she handle the lies? When will she see the truth? The lies of... the money is not good enough, the affection is not good enough, the physical relationship is not good enough. He needs more from more, more money (more theft), more affection (more women), more for the flesh (more substances/addictions). She is so used to the lies that she feels as though she has to stay trapped inside that tiny earthly body, and still figure out a way to hold the weight of the world on her shoulders. Then when she tries to take on the weight of the world, she experiences the weight of the universe, and it is there that she has an encounter with God. A feminine, Job, why me moment.

"Lord, I've been telling You ("telling" is often confused as prayer), I want one of these play things, (a man that she can manipulate like an older sibling blackmailing the younger sibling to get out of more choice situations, or get into situations they really don't want to be a part of), so I'm gonna rub Your bottle (Bible or imaginary subconscious bottle), You play genie, give me what I want, and I promise to be a good girl," she demands!

He replies, "Two questions for you little woman, dear little sweet child of mine, Why start now, what are you really praying for? You've continually taken matters into your own hands, why stop now?" Why do we start prayer, and why should we end disobedience, and making vain request? To receive our blessings, to do the right thing, to get out of His way, and let Him be life, love, and the joy in us, through us, and for us.

Even though He doesn't have to, God still hears, so when will we? I've been praying for someone just like you!!! Did you hear you, or did you hear God? Did God say, "I've heard your prayers, and now the answer is in you. Seek Me in him, and you will get closer to him as you get closer to Me. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all this things shall be added to you" (Matthew 6:33 KJV). Yes all these things, the man, the diamond on the finger, the nice home (not just a house), and all! You were almost a wife, don't let satan still anymore of your joy. Don't seek the desire you want in a man, it's temporal, don't stay focused on the pain of a past man, this too should, and shall pass as you let it!!! Instead seek the God in him that was created for you, and find the love of a lifetime.

Peace, Blessings, and Joy... that real PB&J

Remind Me Why...

Remind me why we celebrate...
Celebration, creates celebrity. Celebrities are figured that we admire. We admire their services, we admire their abilities. The imperfect Christian is also an imperfect father. Therefore, he acknowledges the One that is worthy of being celebrated daily... our Heavenly Father.

The imperfect one is grateful that He has blessed him with fine men in his life. The imperfect one's great-grandfather was a great Christian man, as was his grandfather. They taught him to respect all, especially his Heavenly Father.

The imperfect Christian had great experiences with them. Fishing trips, baseball, and various sporting events, and some outings that words cannot detail, or do justice. Especially the old, "Suppertime Fart Story!" But the most memorable thing that the imperfect one carries from them is that they loved him enough to tell him and show him that at any time. They taught their sons that as well. They instilled family value, and it passed along nicely through the following generation.

The imperfect one's uncles are selfless because of the examples they were blessed to follow. The uncles taught the inperfect Christian to open doors for a "lady," and to be respectful. We all disagree from time to time, but one can be respectful in doing so. With that said, how many are worthy of having a door opened for them, how many "ladies" are left?

The uncles also taught him about sacrifice and priority. They also enforced such rules. They taught and enforced the "please and thank you," rules. They are/were great, great family men. They would lay their lives down for those that they love:
What greater love does one have than One that would lay His life down for them?

The imperfect one had three great examples to follow as far as uncles are concerned. Therefore, the imperfect one is grateful for the Christ-like men in his life. The men that inspired him to take the Deep Gap Trail trips back in the day, and take the BlurRidge rides now. He is grateful for the positive role models that stepped up when he needed a father figure. He is grateful for men not too proud to show affection, not too proud or timid to have hugged him even when he was undeserving. He is grateful for the men that talked with him when he deserved being shunned. He is grateful that they helped him when he didn't have enough sense to help himself. Thank You Lord, for the good fathers and father figures that step up. Because of that the imperfect Christian is a grateful and loving father himself. He may not be perfect, but he is caring and loves being a father to four of the greatest children God could ever bless him with. With that, to all active true fathers, Happy Father's Day, and thank You, Father.

Do You Love Your Children?

http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/failing-student-wears-sign-as-punishment-28585171.html

The NCAA didn't suspend Brazilian, 7' footer, Fab Melo, the Cuse did. Do you think his mother cursed out Coach Boeheim, or Syracuse? Or does she feel shamed by Fab's choices that led to his suspension?

You think taking a phone, or grounding your kid from playing basketball until his grades come up is harsh and unusual punishment? Take a look at the video.

It's a shame that a mother will not let her 3rd grader play in any sports, but will allow her 5th grader to do whatever. It is also a shame that she was too busy for one son to take him to practice or to games, but had plenty of time to ask a relative to take the oldest child to wherever the eldest needed to go, and then have the nerve too ask his father where he had been over the years. The father is wondering why volunteering at their son's school in grade school, and getting his transcripts lined up for high school, and helping him with his school work during both accounts, counts for nothing? Wait a minute... is this the same mother that swore that she'd "NEVER" let her son go to school in the same county in which his father lived? Why yes it is. This is also the same mother that told her son in front of his father, and several of her son's friends that it was ok to lessen his standards and fall back and away from achieving greatness academically. How do you think she would react to her son being taught a lesson, like the young man in the video? Apparently this father cares too. I wonder if the father in the video was told that he was being too hard on his son? I am guessing not. What's so sad about the situation with the son, that had the mother that "ENCOURAGED" him publicly to settle for mediocrity, is that her son had been on the A-B Honor Roll for the first time after moving in with his maternal grandmother, with a more than watchful eye from his father. The father encouraged him by means of incentive. Gave him a cell phone, signed for him to play football, and went to "EVERY" game, and school function. He asked then (legitimately), wonder where his mother is?

"Not everyone can be on the A Honor Roll..." Wonder what would happen if someone told the kid in the video that? Wonder what would happen to that valedictorian that was told that? We he/she drop out of school? Would he/she get petty jobs living check to check? Would he/she settle for getting his girlfriend/becoming pregnant in high school, never go to college, and work for a corporation itching to replace him/her, just before he/she could draw a pension? How can anyone live with themselves after pretty much telling their child that it's OK to settle for mediocrity!? Literally telling that child that they are not smart enough to be a good student and make good grades? Especially when that child after moving away from that mother and moving in with his maternal grandmother with the help of his father, had just achieved his first time ever being on the A-B Honor Roll. When you're not a thinker it seems to come very easy! Why would a parent tell their child this in front of anyone, or in private for that matter to their child!? Hmmm maybe because the parent that accused the other of not doing anything wasn't there, or smart enough away from there, to know any better?

To any young man looking to find a life partner, please, please, please take heed... make certain that your partner, and hopefully life long mate (spouse to be) can put legs on a coffee table properly, spell your name properly, and treats you properly even when you're not around. Most importantly, make sure she can treat your child well and take care of him/her if anything ever happens to you! Make sure she is true to what she says she is. If she says she's a Christian, don't settle for hearing that she is a Christian, witness it in every way, or stop and walk away while you still have the choice! I can't emphasize enough important it is that she is a woman that you can trust your child with if you die, because some day she may drive you to your grave, or the Lord may call you home earlier than you or anyone else anticipated. Not being able to help your child maintain a proper course, because of domestic separation, and difference is a horrible, horrible life for you, and your child. Choose wisely! Whom you choose as a partner to pro-create with, could be like mistaking gasoline or leaded paint for the apple juice or milk that was "supposed" to go into his/her bottle. Not everything is a sure shot, but a definite no go, should be just that... a no go! Healthy formula, or deadly poison? You make the call. God bless the father, and son in the above video, hopefully their journey will be one that is cherished, and appreciated by both!

I hope this blog doesn't send a message of "let me correct my child before the Department of Corrections does." I hope instead it sends a message that inspires you to say, "let me raise and inspire my child(ren) to rise to greatness, and be self disciplined enough to avoid needing correction!"
